Dense corundum is a new kind of high purity refractory raw material with as a-Al2O3 as main principal crystalline phase. Using high purity alumina and deoxidizer as raw materials, after mixing, smelting in electric arc furnace and cooling, the process is finished.
Features:
1. High melting points.
2. Low apparent porosity.
3. Excellent abrasion resistance.
4. Steady volume density and thermal shock resistance.
Application:
Dense corundum is the preferred material for producing high performance monolithic and shaped refractories, which is used in iron and steel, cement, ceramic, petrochemical industries, etc. For monolithics, such as tapping trough of blast furnace, castables, ramming material, precasting blocks, etc. For shaped refractories, such as casting products, permeable brick, pocket block, etc.
